A truly powerful ghalī (carpet), this hand-knotted masterpiece is defined by its deep, commanding sūr (red) field and its complex, ordered structure. The design is broken into bold, distinct nakhsh (patterns), forming blocks of deep navy and rich cream.
Within these panels are concentrated geometric motifs, conveying tribal strength and prosperity. The weaving style echoes the great traditions of Turkmen/Bokhara craftsmanship, known for using powerful colors and highly symbolic designs. It is a substantial, highly durable farsh meant to last through many generations in the deyar (homeland).
