The Shepherd's Kheyma (Tent) Design Carpet
A truly dense and powerful ghalī (carpet), this piece grounds any space with its deep, rich colors and ordered, protective nakhsh (patterns). The main field is a saturated, dark khīn (deep blue/navy), upon which repeating vertical panels are woven. Each panel, colored primarily in Ruby Red and accented with green and white, contains geometric motifs that represent the Drakht (Tree of Life) or specific tribal symbols. This organized structure is a signature of Turkoman weaving, indicating a high-density, durable farsh meant to last for many generations.
